The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Monday that Brampton’s largest shopping mall, and one of the largest shopping malls in the country, the Bramalea City Centre (BCC), has agreed to an official partnership agreement for a third straight season.
The Bramalea City Centre first opened their doors to the citizens of Brampton in 1973 and have since expanded to hold over 300 outlets on 85-acres of land in the heart of the city. Some of their largest stores being Metro, Hudson’s Bay, Designer Depot, and H&M.
“We are excited to grow our partnership with the Brampton Honey Badgers and support basketball within our community,” said Nicole MacPhail, marketing manager at Bramalea City Centre. “Basketball is not only a sport, but a form of gathering and communicating while supporting each other and establishing community relationships. BCC looks forward to inspiring the younger generation to take a shot and reach for the stars with the BCC and Brampton Honey Badgers partnership.”
With the support of Bramalea City Centre, the Honey Badgers will be able to invite local underprivileged youth and families to games this season to experience professional basketball right in their home city.
This season, Honey Badgers fans can expect sponsored in-game activations for an opportunity to win a Bramalea City Centre shopping spree.
“As one of Brampton’s most notable attractions, we consider ourselves privileged to have Bramalea City Centre back as an official partner this season,” said Chris Rodricks, senior director of business operations for the Brampton Honey Badgers. “We encourage Honey Badgers fans to explore all the shops and services that Bramalea City Centre has to offer, and keep an eye out for BCC prizes at Honey Badgers home games.”
