CHRISTIAN VITAL

HONEY BADGERS GUARD (2022-23)


Christian Vital was a key member of the Honey Badgers for two seasons, helping lead the club to their first-ever CEBL Championship in 2022, while receiving CEBL Finals MVP honors thanks to a 17-point and five-rebound performance in the championship game against Scarborough. He was also named to the All-CEBL Second Team in two consecutive seasons. 


Vital inked a Exhibit-10 contract with the Toronto Raptors on October 15, 2022, splitting the campaign with the Raptors 905 and Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League. After returning to the Honey Badgers in 2023, Vital took his talents to Poland and Italy as he continued his professional career overseas.



LINDELL WIGGINTON

HONEY BADGERS GUARD (2021)


Lindell Wigginton suited up in 15 games for the Honey Badgers in 2021, finishing as the league’s second-leading scorer with averages of 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. In his lone campaign in the CEBL, Wigginton amassed a myriad of awards, including the Canadian Player of the Year, Clutch Player of the Year,  All-CEBL First Team, and the CEBL All-Canadian Team. 


Wigginton signed a Two-Way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on January 13, 2022, making his NBA debut that same day against the Golden State Warriors. The guard played a combined 25 games for the Bucks across three seasons, in addition to 83 games with their NBA G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. Following a brief stint last season with Xinjang FT, Wigginton continues to play professionally in China with the Shandong Heros.



NINO JOHNSON

HONEY BADGERS FORWARD (2021)


Nino Johnson averaged 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 steals in 8 games with the Honey Badgers during the 2021 season. The Memphis, Tennessee native signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Utah Jazz on October 14, 2021, appearing in 30 games with their NBA G League affiliate in Salt Lake City and averaging 4.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 19.6 minutes. 


Prior to arriving in the CEBL, the 6-foot-9 forward played two seasons in the NBA G-League with the Memphis Hustle. Johnson’s playing career has brought him to Japan, Finland, Poland, Israel, Thailand, and Mexico.


ANTOINE BROXSIE

HONEY BADGERS HEAD COACH (2023)


Antoine Broxsie took the reins of the Honey Badgers in 2023 during the club’s first season in Brampton, coaching the team to 8-10 (.444) record including a playoff appearance. Following the campaign, Broxsie rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers as a Player Development Coach for a second season.


Broxsie’s coaching resume includes time with the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets organizations, in addition to China, Thailand, and Japan. 



JOSH ESTES

HONEY BADGERS ASSISTANT COACH (2023)


Josh Estes joined the Honey Badgers as an assistant coach on Antoine Broxsie’s staff, following his first season as a coaching analyst with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Following the 2023 season, Estes rejoined the Cavaliers as an analytics manager during the 2023-24 campaign. 




RYAN SCHMIDT

HONEY BADGERS HEAD COACH (2020-22)


Ryan Schmidt served as the head coach of the Honey Badgers for three seasons from 2020- 2022, winning the first CEBL Championship in franchise history. He coached the club to a 28-16 (.636) record during that span, helping three of his players earn NBA contracts in addition to numerous international representations. 


Following his time in the CEBL, Schmidt joined the London Lions of the British Basketball League for one season before being hired by the Atlanta Hawks on August 17, 2023 as an assistant coach and head coach of their NBA G League affiliate, College Park Skyhawks.



BRITTNI DONALDSON

HONEY BADGERS DIRECTOR OF COACHING DEVELOPMENT AND ASSISTANT COACH (2022)


Brittni Donaldson played a major role in the Honey Badgers’ 2022 Championship season, serving as the team’s director of coaching development and assistant coach under head coach Ryan Schmidt. Following a successful stint in the CEBL, Donaldson then took her talents to the Detroit Pistons as an assistant coach and director of coaching analytics before joining the Atlanta Hawks as an assistant coach, the first female in the position in franchise history.


Prior to her time with the Honey Badgers, the former Northern Iowa Panther became just the 10th active female assistant coach in the NBA when the Toronto Raptors promoted her to the coaching staff in 2019, winning a NBA Championship with the club.
