Michael joined the Honey Badgers and the CEBL in March of 2022 as Director, Ticket Sales and Service. Michael was promoted to Sr. Director, Ticket Sales and Service, then again into his current role of Sr. Director, Sales and Marketing. He comes from Cosmos Sports & Entertainment where he was the Manager of Sales and Service overseeing a team of Account Executives and focused on group sales/B2B sales, renewals strategies and ticket plans. The creation/execution of ticket sales plans for a variety of properties included the San Diego Seals (NLL), Curling Canada, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, GT20 Cricket, City of Mississauga, and the Edmonton Elks.

 

Starting as a Sales and Marketing Intern with the Brampton Beast (ECHL) in January 2018, Michael moved into a variety of roles with the team including Ticket Sales and Service Executive, Senior Account Executive, and eventually Director of Ticket Sales. In 2019 Michael was awarded the Beast Front Office Rookie of the Year, and in December of 2018 was awarded the ECHL Group Sales Top Growth Star of the Month.

 

While managing both ticketing and sponsorships at the Beast, Michael created great success with school group sales with the team, including selling out six straight School Day games. He has also been one of twelve elite league executives selected to be enrolled in ECHL University, a seven-month program designed to train all aspects of ticket sales management and leadership led by former NBA VP of team ticket sales Murray Cohn, and Steve Delay.

 

Prior to his roles in the industry, Michael earned his Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Business Administration from the University of Windsor. After following his passion for sports, he then earned a Graduate Certificate from the George Brown College Sport and Event Marketing program.

 

From a young age, Michael has played multiple sports leading him to keep the culture of the game by coaching numerous youth teams. More recently, he enjoys getting out on the golf course where he tries to find as many golf balls as he loses.
