The Canadian Elite Basketball league held its draft on Saturday night at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. The Hamilton Honey Badgers and five other CEBL franchises now have players to fill out their team rosters.
With their first pick, the Honey Badgers selected MiKyle McIntosh (5th overall). The 24-year-old from Pickering, is averaging 10.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 23.7 minutes in 24 games this season with The Raptors 905 of the NBA G League.
Joining McIntosh on the Honey Badgers are Raptors 905 teammates Duane Notice and Derek Cooke Jr.
Hamilton also selected Murphy Burnatowski, Justin Edwards, Ryan Ejim, Shaquille Keith, Joe Rocca, and Tramar Sutherland.
The Honey Badger’s first game is scheduled for Sunday, May 12 against Edmonton at FirstOntario Centre.
