Watch out Hamilton, there will be Honey Badgers on the loose in the city starting in May 2019.

Hamilton has a new professional basketball franchise and will be named after a fast, ferocious animal that is a popular social media meme.

The Hamilton Honey Badgers will play in the Canadian Elite Basketball League which will have teams in Guelph, St. Catharines, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Abbotsford, B.C for it’s inaugural season.
