HONEY BADGERS WELCOME FOOD FIGHT BARBECUE BAR AS OFFICIAL PARTNER

Kyle Warrener • Apr 19, 2024

The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Friday an official partnership with Food Fight Barbecue Bar, a local restaurant serving great-tasting northern barbecue with two locations in Brampton and Mississauga. Food Fight specializes in customary slow-smoked barbecue typically found down south, but with an infusion of spices and techniques passed down from our Caribbean, Asian, and Canadian heritage.

“Food Fight has a tremendous story of being a Brampton-based small business that is eager to get involved in the local community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them be an official partner this season,” said Chris Rodricks, senior director of business operations for the Brampton Honey Badgers. “I personally encourage our fans to visit either of their two locations for the best barbecue that they will find in the city.”

This partnership will fuel the Honey Badgers throughout the upcoming season and build on the growing relationship between the club and rising number of small businesses within the Brampton and nearby communities.

“Food Fight is excited to partner with such an amazing team,” said Julian Gayah, owner of Food Fight Barbecue Bar. “We are full of avid basketball fans, made obvious by the copious amount of basketball merchandise displayed in the restaurant. Nothing could make us happier than to team up and support the team of the city we were born in - Brampton! We cannot wait to experience an awesome season with the Honey Badgers and who knows, maybe we'll find some new members to join the Food Fight Fam!”

With the 2024 season on the horizon, Honey Badgers fans can get excited for what is in store for the second season of professional basketball at the CAA Centre. Honey Badgers season tickets and other ticket packages are available now at
